About the Composer
Andrew Motyka is the Director of Archdiocesan and Cathedral Music for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and previously held positions at churches in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. He holds a Master of Music in Sacred Music from Benjamin T. Rome School of Music at The Catholic University of America, and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose.
Andrew began the process of composing communion antiphons for use at his parish, after determining that there was a dearth of suitable repertoire for churches seeking simple, English-language communion antiphons that remained true to the biblical text and to the style and mode of the original chant antiphons found in the Graduale Romanum.
